Cerro Pelon Ranch sits on a 20,000-acre site in northern New Mexico and features a meandering river, cottonwood trees, and grazing pastures. The main residence floats on a reflecting pool with circular indoor and outdoor riding areas.

We blended native Pinyon Pines and sagebrush with drought-tolerant plants to integrate seamlessly into the surrounding high-desert environment. Drought-tolerant plants, selected to withstand the arid climate, highlight the natural desert palette with muted greens and silvery foliage.

A walled garden adds a contrasting element to the open desert landscape. Within its sheltered area, a vegetable and herb garden thrives. Together, these elements balance the rugged elegance of the desert with a private, functional oasis for the homeowners.
