Landscape Job Captain

A Landscape Job Captain (Mid-Level Landscape Designer) is responsible for the development of landscape projects during all project phases. You will collaborate closely with the project design team to ensure successful project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in all project types including single-family residential, multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial projects.
  • Collaborate and communicate with clients and representatives, architects, consultants, vendors, and all other parties involved in a project to develop the project design and documentation that meets client goals and the firm design aesthetic.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and all project documentation.
  • Development and preparation of all deliverables and project tasks in all project phases including conceptual design, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and contract administration.
  • Produce project deliverables using Revit, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Research and specify landscape and hardscape materials, products, and systems.
  • During construction, conduct site visits and coordinate with the design team and contractors to verify adherence to the contract documents and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Proven experience in landscape design, preferably with a focus on residential or multi-family projects. 4 – 6 years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape design principles and experience in design, construction documentation and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Lumion and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with local zoning regulations, building codes, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts to project teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Position details:

  • This is a full-time, in-person position in our Los Angeles office.
  • Marmol Radziner offers a competitive compensation package including healthcare, 401(k), and paid time off.
  • The hiring salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000. Any offer of compensation will be determined by a candidate’s education, skills, and experience as assessed during the interview process.
